Meet The Founder

Hello, my name is Silvie Binsai, and I am the proud founder of Viva La Vie Fashion. My journey has been filled with challenges, but it is those experiences that shaped my vision for this brand. I was born in a remote village in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where my early years were marked by hardship, and living through the effects of war. By the age of six, I was fortunate enough to be adopted into a loving home, offering me a chance to rebuild my life. Growing up, I faced personal hardships, including the loss of both my parents and significant financial struggles. My father passed away in 2017, and soon after, my mother lost her battle with cancer in 2019. These tragedies almost led me to drop out of school, but thanks to the kindness of my high school principal Mrs. Radhika Lee and the support of GA Insurance Kenya, I was able to complete my education, ultimately graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Human Rights with a distinction from St. Thomas University, Canada, in 2024.

My personal struggles with poverty, loss, and uncertainty have given me a deep sense of purpose. I know what it’s like to face hunger, to question whether your education journey will continue, and to wonder if help will come. That’s why I founded Viva La Vie Fashion—not just to celebrate African culture but to give back. Through this platform, I aim to provide financial support to underprivileged students in Kenya, ensuring they have the opportunities I was lucky enough to receive.I invite you to join me on this mission to make a real difference. Together, we can change lives and build a better future for children in need.
